Ce que j'aime ici, dans notre campagne, c'est que le genre humain est une goutte d'eau
dans l'océan végétal et animal, bien sûr une partie est domestiquée, mais le sauvage reste le roi,
j'aime sentir cette humilité…
What I find beautiful here, in this country where I live, is that the Human being is a water drop
in the ocean of vegetal and animal, of course you can find domestic of them, but wild is the king,
and I enjoy feeling this humbleness…

le dessiner et lui parler.
in the middle of the cows is my favourite tree, I often stay contemplating, drawing or talking to him.
J'ai offert tout récemment à Étienne un kit de couture venant d'un hôtel, il a trouvé que c'était
"un super cadeau" et a spontanément demandé à dessiner avec les différents fils.
Voici donc le "dessin" en cours…
I recently gave to Étienne a sewing kit from an hotel, he found it as a
great present,
and immediatly asked me to draw with the different
threads. Work in progress…
J'ai trouvé ce matin, dans la rue devant mon jardin, un bel oiseau essayant de voler, mais parvenant à peine à bondir. Je l'ai recueilli et installé confortablement dans un carton.
Puis j'ai téléphoné au centre local LPO, où l'on m'a demandé de bien vouloir l'apporter :
depuis 15 jours, d'autres cas similaires de martinets noirs ont été découverts dans la région, incapables de voler, pas forcément blessés mais souvent affamés… le martinet noir est un insectivore, pas (encore) en voie de disparition mais en sérieuse régression…
(quant aux agriculteurs locaux, c'est plutôt le genre insectophobe…)
I found this morning, in the street just front of our garden, a beautiful bird trying to fly, looking like difficultly jumping. I took care of him, putting him comfortably in a box and calling the local Birdlife center, where they asked me to bring the bird to them : since 15 days, some similar Common
Swifts have been discovered in the surroundings, unable to fly, not
specially hurted, often hungry…
Common Swift is an insectivore, not (yet) in the way for extinction, but seriously on the decline…

farmers, here, are seriously insectophobe…)

hitaus
alignement de jours fériés tout en lenteur… après l'élan : la force d'inertie de notre voyage me laisse maintenant complètement abasourdie, j'oscille entre plages très excitantes et lourdes paresses.
quelques petites pépites au milieu de tout ça, dont un aller-retour à Montauban pour voir-écouter Camille en concert, et revenir encore plus épuisée par son énergie débordante. Concert + spectacle, hypnotisant et décoiffant, mais à l'arrière-goût monotone, chaque chanson s'emmêle et se ressemble.
a weekend sandwiched between 2 public holidays, oh slowly time… after the rush : intertia force from our travel, it stun me again, makes me feel oscillations between exciting segments and heavy laziness.
some gold lights in the middle of this : I went to Camilles show, and came back more and more tired by her exuberant energy.
Concert was hypnotic and disarranged, but with some monotonous aftertaste, each song is confusing and looking like the other.

Mars me semble déjà trop court tellement j'ai de choses à faire…
j'ai décidé que je terminerai ce livre, avant de partir en voyage en
mini bus pendant tout le mois d'avril, à travers l'Allemagne, la
Hollande et la Belgique, et il nous faut continuer de préparer ce
voyage en famille. À ce propos, si vous avez des bons plans pour les
enfants, s'arrêter avec le bus, manger… entre Siegen - Kassel -
Göttingen - Magdeburg - Berlin et de la côte frisonne allemande jusqu'à
Bruxelles… je vous serais très reconnaissante de me laisser un
commentaire!!!
Aussi, je vais poster surtout des photos et des images sans texte (ou très peu) ce mois-ci.
March will be short, and I have so many things to do…
first I decided to finish this book, before we will travel with a minibus through Germany, Netherlands and Belgium all along the April month, and we have to prepare more this family trip. If you know some good tips, for kids, for park our bus, eating… between Siegen - Kassel - Göttingen - Magdeburg - Berlin and german frisian coast to Brussels… you're very welcome to let your comment!!!
So this month, I probably will post only some pics or drawings with any (or few) text.

Me voilà revenue de ma semaine parisienne, enfin pas spécialement parisienne puisque j'étais partie pour mon travail, et j'ai travaillé… tout en profitant chaque jour de la vue sur les toits de Paris, le Panthéon et la tour Montparnasse.
J'y ai rencontré une blogueuse en vrai, pour la première fois de ma vie! quelques si bons amis, un cousin et sa douce famille, et bien sûr les éditeurs pour lesquels j'étais venue travailler.
Une grande semaine dans une belle chambre de bonne, seule, sans ordinateur, ni radio, rien à écouter ou voir, sinon mes crayons, peintures et la rumeur de la rue sous la fenêtre.
C'était parfois tellement étrange de rester dans cet environnement si calme et silencieux, et juste à penser et faire ce livre.
J'ai découvert seulement hier tous vos commentaires! c'est tellement gentil de votre part d'avoir pris le temps de m'écrire, je suis restée surprise et émerveillée!
Mille merci encore! Je vais tâcher de répondre à chacun prochainement, et quant à vous, bien sûr, il n'est jamais trop tard pour participer et/ou me poser des questions!
I'm back from my parisian week. Not very parisian because I was there
for my work, and worked… but, seeing Paris roofs, Pantheon and
Monptarnasse tower each day in my wiew.
I met a bloggirl, for first time in my life! some of my so good
friends, my dear sweet cousin's family, and of course the publishers I
worked for.
I've been staying a long week in a nice maid's room, alone, with no
computer, no radio, nothing to hear or see something else than my
pencils, paintings, and the street's hum under the window. It was
sometimes so strange to stay so quite in a so silent place, and just
think, and do this book.
I discovered only yesterday all your comments, it's really really nice you took time for writing, it was surprising and wondering!
Thank you so much ! I will answer you in the next days, and it's never too late to take part and/or ask me!
